Attendee Information
Before the event
All attendees need to register. If you haven't yet then --> Register. You can register up until the day before the event.
Getting closer and you can't attend? We would hugely appreciate if you could log on and cancel your registration via the eventbrite page.
You don't need to print your tickets. Upon arrival the volunteer squad will help you grab your lanyard and badge which you need to wear all day.
Data Céilí follows a code of conduct to ensure the conference attendees, speakers, organisers and volunteers are in a safe environment. If you experience or witness anything that shoudl be brought to our attention, please connect directly with the volunteer crew, or email us. The Code of conduct can be read here -> Code of Conduct
Data Céili is a community-lead conference. It is not a corporate event. Nobody is paid for their time to put this event on. It is paid by the sponsors who are present on the day and some income generated from the precon training days, which is also shared with the precon speakers. This allows us to make this event free and include some food and drink without cost.
Event Morning
The event is located in Trinity College Dublin. It is in the Arts Building on the south side of the campus. The closest entrance is on Nassau street, (Google Maps Link), when you go in here, you veer to the right and you're in.
Registration opens at 8:00am, with the first session starting at 9:00am. It will be busy during the first hour of registration so please show patience and courtesy to the volunteer team who will be doing their best to get you in smoothly.
Down below is a map showing the campus and key points.
Event Day
The whole event is on one floor and all rooms are along side each other.
The Data Ceili volunteer squad will be present wearing bright green shirts and are on hand to help you with anything you need.
Toilets are downstairs. Opposite the Registration desk you will see a coffee shop, walk down towards that and down another flight of stairs to the toilets.
We have tea/coffee delivered in the morning and afternoon. Lunch is also included and placed in the sponsor area for you to grab and go. We strongly recommend yo bring snacks/water to keep your energy up.
Event End
After the last session, the end of day raffle is held in one of the rooms where prizes are given out. You are free to enter the raffles using the barcode on your badge. You have to be at the raffle to win!
After the raffle, there's an informal post-event drinks for all to join. The location is O'Neill's Pub, about 3 min walk from the event. Take the Nassau Street exit, turn right and walk straight for about 150 metres. We have a bar tab to cover a round for everyone, then you're free to stay on, or head off to enjoy Dublin any way you see fit.
